This post is to record my experiences while exploring the online museums for the Nov 5th session. I have decided to chose the National Gallery for this demonstration.
Summary of my exploration
Generally the exploration is pretty interesting. You get to see all the art works without visiting the museum in person and the amount of details you’re able to find is quite comparable as to visiting the location in person. We even get to see details such as the ceiling of the building or various little details just as we would while visiting there by ourselves. However, the disadvantages is that the control for direction and navigation is a bit confusing and badly designed, sometimes you can get stuck in one of the smaller rooms and not being able to get out. Overall the ideas of such mechanism is quite innovating and can benefit people from all over the world who’re unable to make an in person visit to the place.
